[2023 IGW International Green Week Berlin] Damascus Rose Products - Cooperative Rosa Damaskina

So welcome again to the Moroccan Pavilion. This is Zahara.
Zahara is the head of the Cooperative Rosa Damaskina.

So um Zahara actually in Arabic also  means flower which is really beautiful because here we have a lot of products that are related to flowers.

So we have the Damascus Rose and in this beautiful woman Cooperative, they collect the Damascus flowers and the roses.

And they use steam water like… they collect them, and they put them on and then from below they have it with steam.

And this is how they distillate the rose water which we can see here.

It is amazing tonic water that you can use for instance… for like the face or also… you can also eat it.

It’s uh it’s a hundred percent like a natural product.

It’s only roses and we’re very proud of this product.

But we also make powder.
This powder for instance.
It’s made of the the petals, the rose petals as well.

And this is how it… wait, give me a second.

Yeah sorry. This is how it looks this is the Rose powder and it is something that we use for like cosmetic purposes in combination with the rose petal water.

It can use it to have like a face mask for example.

And then we really try to use all of the flowers like all of the roses.

We we’re like aiming for like zero waste.
So the flowers here, the petals, we dry them and we use them for tea for instance, like you can see here.

So if you boil it with like…you boil up hot water, you can produce tea out of it.

It’s really amazing and, we also dry the rest of the petals.

This is something we use for cuisine, Moroccan Cuisine like for our bakery, for instance, if you try to bake a cake, for example.

And this is something that will add a real freshness and like the natural flavor of the Damascus Rose.

And yeah yeah, this is the main product.
