Hello I’m Rob from Tritech 3d, and we’re here at Space comm in Farnborough.
Tri-tech 3d are a supplier of industrial 3d printers from Stratasys,

and what really stands us apart as a manufacturer is the range of engineering-grade thermoplastics that we’re able to print with additively.

We have a range of materials that are specifically designed for the aerospace industry,
that have things like flame, smoke and toxicity rating but also traceability,

so they can be used within both aircraft and spacecraft.

And not only can we print in these materials but we’re also able to print extremely accurately and repeatably as well which is required for such strenuine aerospace applications.

So i’ve got an example here of one of our 3d printed components and to look at this it might look just like a pretty generic box,
![](https://www.tenji.tv/wp-content/uploads/video_img/space-comm_2022_09/space-comm_2022_09_09-9.jpg)
but this particular component was actually designed using generative design,
so it was designed to use the least amount of material as possible to make it both lightweight but also to reduce cost.

and the actual material that was used for this is a PEC-based material that has ESD capabilities.
![](https://www.tenji.tv/wp-content/uploads/video_img/space-comm_2022_09/space-comm_2022_09_09-11.jpg)
So this is an actual an electrical housing and the material itself is designed to stop any buildup of electrical charges.
![](https://www.tenji.tv/wp-content/uploads/video_img/space-comm_2022_09/space-comm_2022_09_09-12.jpg)
But this material has also passed aerospace standards as well so it has flame, smoke and toxicity ratings

and it also has traceability as well. So this actual component is used within a satellite.
